- Arrive early: Boarding begins at 6:15 PM, and the cruise departs promptly at 7:00 PM.

- Visit the adoption event: North Shore Animal League America's mobile adoption event runs from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM beside the Circle Line box office at Pier 83. Meet dogs, puppies, and kittens looking for homes before or after your cruise.
- Allowed: Dogs kept on a leash and under their owner's control; optional Halloween costumes for guests and their dogs; sweaters or blankets to help keep smaller or short-haired dogs warm.
- Not allowed: Outside food or beverages; dogs roaming off-leash or remaining outside their owner's control.
